Washington bequeathed $510.9 million in aid to Jordan last year, according to the U.S. embassy in Amman. Of the sum, $297.5 million came in the form of budgetary support to the government and financed programs by the U.S. Agency for International Development to improve domestic water supplies, health care and education.
