African Development Bank President Donald Kaberuka said the region’s infrastructure sector will benefit the most from the capital increase endorsed by the bank’s Governors Consultative Committee, according to an AfDB press release. At a conference on financial flows to Africa in Washington, Kaberuka said the funding boost will meet not just the demands for traditional infrastructure but also information infrastructure, enabling Africa to rebound from the financial crisis.
