Donald Kaberuka is poised for reelection as president of the African Development Bank at the bank’s annual meetings in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire.
Kaberuka’s reelection tops the gathering’s agenda, the African Press Agency says.
The AfDB board of governors is expected to approve his reelection, unless there would be other candidates who will vie for the post.
The annual event will also involve discussions on food security, poverty reduction, the bank’s sixth general capital increase, replenishment of the African Development Fund, and the situation of women in fragile states.
