    Kenya has received a USD7.16 million development grant from China, according to

    . The grant was awarded by Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi during his visit to the African country. Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki welcomed the Chinese donation, saying it is "substantial in financial terms and has a considerable impact on Kenya's socio-economic development."
