The Palestinian Health Sector Reform and Development Project – the biggest health initiative sponsored by the U.S. Agency for International Development in the West Bank and Gaza – is now under way. Chemonics International is implementing the five-year, USD57 million program, which aims to promote good governance in the Palestinian health sector, improve the quality of basic services provided by hospitals and clinics, and encourage healthier behaviors among families and communities, among others.
