The government of Mozambique is partnering with Italy-based European Center of the Project for the Millennium Development Goals to promote in schools the importance of attaining the MDGs. The MDG Project, which has the support of the United Nations Development Program, Local Economic Development Network and National Association of Mozambican Municipalities, aims to support educators increase awareness on development issues among the youth, AIM through AllAfrica.com reports.
Meanwhile, Mozambique is eyeing USD2 billion in tourism investments with five to seven years, Minister of Tourism Fernando Sumbana, told Reuters. Many of the investors are from South Africa, with others from China, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates and Europe, Sumbana added.
