The Inter-American Development Bank is lending USD20.2 million to improve the efficiency and safety of Nicaragua’s transportation system.

The loan will be used to finance road works including paving, structural reinforcements, drainage, and construction of bridges and road signs.

Nicaragua’s Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure and Road Maintenance Fund will manage the project’s resources.
