The Norwegian Microfinance Initiative created a pair of investment funds to support microfinance institutions at different stages of maturity. NMI Global Fund will cater to more mature microcredit organizations in selected regions and developing nations by helping them find new markets and offer additional products and services. NMI Frontier Fund will focus on young and emerging microfinance institutions in a limited number of countries where the world’s poorest live.
