Prague donated a total of 20 million Czech koruna (USD1 million) to support the construction of hospitals and schools and the renewal of medical services in Haiti, Prague Daily Monitor reports. Of the sum, 6 million koruna will go to Hand for Help, 4 million koruna to Doctors Without Borders, 3 million koruna to the local Red Cross chapter and 2 million koruna to the Charity of the Czech Republic, which plans to launch a cash-for-work programs for Haitians. Nonprofit organizations ADRA and People in Need will each receive 2 million koruna. The new funding brings Prague’s total aid to Haiti to 32 million koruna.
