Saudi Arabia pledged USD1 billion for the rehabilitation of war-ravaged Gaza,
reported. "I announce on behalf of your brothers in Saudi Arabia that the kingdom will offer USD1 billion as a contribution under the program proposed by this summit for the reconstruction of Gaza," King Abdullah revealed during an Arab League economic summit in Kuwait. Similarly, Kuwait committed USD34 million to scale up the operations of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency in Gaza.
