Senegal Gets IMF Aid

The International Monetary Fund is disbursing another USD75.6 million from its Facility of Protection against External Shock to help Senegal weather the global financial crisis. The fund said 2008 was a specially difficult year for Senegal, which has been dealing with energy and food price increases since 2006.
