The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency announced Monday (May 23) that it is investing 110 million Swedish kronor ($17.3 million) to encourage citizen participation and support civil society development in Kenya.
The funds will be provided over four years for the development of a platform through which local civil society groups can better interact and collaborate. The program will be administered by PACT Kenya, a local non-governmental organization focused on capacity building and sustainable development. It will specifically target rural and urban organizations working for sustainable growth in the country.
