Some 2,300 Palestinian Iraqi refugees living in Syria are expected to benefit from the 1 million euros donated by the European Commission Humanitarian Aid Office to the U.N. Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East, also known as UNRWA. The donation will boost the agency’s efforts to provide education, health care, shelter, microfinance opportunities and social services to the refugees, many of whom remain unable to return to Iraq or find work in Syria.
