The Asian Development Bank is making $20 million available for the rehabilitation of
's Dushanbe-Kyrgyz border road. The grant will be used to construct an emergency bypass and improve a road section near the Kyrgyz border, which is prone to landslides. The Manila-based lender is also offering a $3 million grant to help design and implement a medicard program in
. The sum will be used to identify the beneficiaries of the program, provide capacity development, and monitoring and evaluation tools in order to successfully execute the program.
