The United Nations needs USD30 million to help storm-ravaged Cuba. The funding will underwrite immediate response and early recovery phases in accordance with the U.N. Post-Hurricane Plan of Action 2008. The latest aid appeal will add to the USD8.7 million already provided by the Central Emergency Response Fund and emergency funds of various U.N. agencies.
