The U.S. embassy in Zambia is now accepting grant applications for a program meant to help Zambian orphans and children.
Applications to the Orphan and Vulnerable Children Small Grants Program, backed by the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, may be submitted from Jan. 10 to Feb. 25, according to Dominic Randazzo, acting public affairs officer at the U.S. embassy in Zambia.
The program, which offers grants as much as USD20,000, supports community-led efforts in assisting children, who have been orphaned or made vulnerable due to AIDS, the Zambia News and Information Services reports.
