The U.S. Agency for International Development has awarded grants worth USD14.7 million to seven international non-governmental organizations that are set to implement nine projects in Gaza. The coverage of these projects range from humanitarian concerns to long-term reconstruction efforts. Grant recipients include Acted, CRS, CHF International, International Orthodox Christian Charities, International Relief and Development, Mercy Corps and World Vision.

The agency has also provided a USD5 million grant to the Indiana University School of Medicine, Moi University Schook and Moi Teaching Referral Hospital in support of a program that aims to expand the delivery of health care services in Kenya’s western provinces.
