The U.S. Agency for International Development is funding a new project aimed at improving basic education in Pakistan. USAID Administrator Henrietta Fore and Federal Minister for Education Ahsan Iqbal graced the launching ceremony of the USD90 million initiative. “Pakistan’s basic education system must earn the trust and confidence of parents that their children will receive quality education, and we want to help in building a system that delivers on its promises,” said Fore, as quoted by a statement from the U.S. Embassy.
