The United States Agency for International Development has granted USD2.5 million to the Liberian Ministry of Education to assist in the rehabilitation efforts of the Zorzor Rural Teachers Training Institute. In addition to rehabilitating the country’s first training institute founded in 1960, the project is seen to provide workers within the surrounding areas with employment opportunities. The rehabilitation process began last week and is expected to last several months. (Source: USAID Grants US$2.5mln for Teacher Training School/The News Online)
