Foreign donors last week pledged official development assistance of USD 5.014 billion for Vietnam next year, compared with USD 5.4 billion for this year. The figures were announced at the World Bank’s Consultative Group for Vietnam’s two-day meeting that began Dec. 4 in Hanoi. Of the total, the World Bank will give USD 1.66 billion, the Asian Development Bank USD 1.566 billion, France USD 280 million, South Korea USD 268.7 million, Germany USD 186 million and the United States USD 128.12 million.
