The World Bank and Asian Development Bank will lend a combined USD110.3 million to support Vietnam’s projects focusing on agriculture, poverty reduction and infrastructure rehabilitation. The package includes USD59.8 million from the World Bank to help execute a farm initiative in eight central provinces in the Asian nation. Meanwhile, ADB will disburse USD25 million for Vietnam’s poverty alleviation policy reforms and another USD25.5 million to help restore typhoon-struck rural infrastructure.
