The World Bank earmarked nearly USD184 million in total for two development projects seeking to bolster Bulgaria’s membership in the European Union as well as improve the quality of living in the country. Of the sum, roughly USD132 million will be allocated to back Bulgaria’s policy reforms on health, education and social protection to increase employment and social gains. The rest will improve the readiness of children below the age of 7 from low-income and marginalized families to enter school.
