The World Bank is providing USD6 million to Rwanda’s Competitiveness and Enterprise Development project. The sum aims to shore up private sector development by promoting the growth of small and medium enterprises. It serves as a follow-up to a previous credit that the World Bank approved in 2001. “The additional financing grant is timely. It will support the implementation of the FSDP and, hence, contribute to strengthening the growing financial sector in Rwanda,” World Bank task team leader Amadou Dem remarked.
