The World Bank will back a municipal solid waste management program in Jordan’s Amman city with a USD25 million credit. The initiative seeks to improve the current municipal solid waste landfill to allow for electricity generation and greenhouse gas reduction. It also aims to lower the costs of the city’s solid waste collection and transport systems.
