Madagascar will receive another USD50 million under the Poverty Reduction Support Credit facility of the World Bank. The move aims to help the country implement its anti-poverty agenda called the Madagascar Action Plan. According to Task Team Leader Stefano Paternostro, the credit “will complement the bank’s existing investment portfolio by reinforcing institutional rationalization and strengthening in nutrition and by supporting the implementation of sector-wide approaches in health, education and water.” (Press release: The World Bank Approves a USD50 Million Credit to Madagascar/World Bank)
