Uganda is due to receive another $12 million credit from the International Development Association. “IDA financing will help ensure the continuity of a stream of new practices and innovations in Uganda,” Madhur Gautam, the project’s Task Team Leader, said. The money will benefit the Second Agricultural Research and Training Project, which has produced high quality research in the past seven years. “It will allow adequate time for the preparation of a new single program to jointly cater for agricultural advisory services and agricultural research, preferably through a broader sector-wide approach, beginning July 1, 2009,” remarked World Bank Country Manager Grace Yabrudy.
