Aberdeen Kai-fong Welfare Association Social Service Centre
The Association's "Aberdeen Place Society" (formerly known as "Aberdeen Place Welfare Society") was established in 1950, and its officially registered name is "Aberdeen Place Welfare Society Limited". Aberdeen Place started in the 1950s and has been adhering to the four creeds of "watching for help, mutual help, help in trouble, and changing customs" to provide services for residents in the Southern District. Its Aberdeen Place Society Social Service (formerly known as "Aberdeen Place Welfare Society Social Service Center") was established in 1976, with the mission of "advocating mutual help, helping neighbors and educating talents to serve the society", supplemented by "caring , Happy, convenient, reliable, and shared" service beliefs, to provide community members with diverse social welfare services. The names of the organizations currently in use, "Aberdeen Place Club" and "Aberdeen Place Club Social Service", are due to the streamlining of the name of the club and the rebuilding of the emblem in May 2012 in order to coordinate service development and image promotion. Since its establishment in 1976, the Social Service of the Aberdeen Place Society has been subsidized by the Social Welfare Department. It provides all kinds of appropriate social services from the initial 8 employees to more than 300 now. At present, the service targets include children, teenagers, adults, the elderly and the public. There are 18 units in Huangzhukeng, Huagui Village, Ap Lei Chau and Aberdeen in the southern area of Hong Kong Island. Over the years, the organization has been working to meet the needs of residents and has been committed to developing different types of services, including community development, community care for the elderly, home support, youth and integrated family services, etc. In recent years, the organization has launched special service programs through relevant fund allocations, such as the “Southern District Aixin Village Plan” to help accumulate social capital, the “urban oasis (optimization) plan” to promote the concept of sustainable development, and the assistance of CSSA to re-enter the labor force. The market's "Integrated Comprehensive Employment Assistance Program for Self-reliance", "Integrated Comprehensive Support Program for Elderly Elderly Residents" and "Peer Stroke-Stroke Rehabilitation Treatment Program" to assist the weak and the elderly. As for large-scale events in Hong Kong, there are the Hong Kong Ballpoint Chinese Calligraphy Competition, the Hong Kong Student Speech Competition, the Hong Kong Youth Essay Competition, and the Hong Kong Elderly Gymnastics Festival, which are very popular. .See more
