ABPCD - Agence Banques Populaires pour la Cooperation et le Developpment
About

Established in 1983, ABPCD is a Cooperation and Development agency set up by Banques Populaires, France’s second-largest banking group. It has forged close ties with local economic and financial players.

In collaboration with a wide range of leading experts, it:

    • conducts projects across a vast geographical zone, and notably in Africa,
    • works locally to help companies gain access to finance, with a focus on developing the capacities of the entities concerned, and
    • fosters bank-company dialogue, creating cohesion between projects in line with a commitment to social and environmental responsibility.

Through its project-based approach and its search for solutions – both conventional and innovative – ABPCD always strives to ensure the transfer of expertise and sharing of best practices.

ABPCD’s central goal in today’s context is to foster cooperation and development in a spirit of solidarity with the men andwomen who are working to build their countries’ economic futures. Banques Populaires’ Cooperation and Development agency oversees complex projects in collaboration with organisations in emerging and developing countries.

ABPCD works with major international partners, with whom it interacts regularly concerning programmes that fall within its remit and questions relating to global strategy.
