Accredia is the body designated by the Italian government to certify the competence, independence and impartiality of the bodies and laboratories that verify the conformity of goods and services with the rules.
Each European country has its own unique accreditation body, which operates in line with the provisions of EC Regulation 765/2008 and the international ISO / IEC 17011 standard. Accredia is the body designated by the Italian government.
L ' accreditation attests to the competence, independence and impartiality of the certification bodies, inspection and verification, and testing and calibration laboratories, and ensures the ability to assess the conformity of goods and services to the requirements established in the standards voluntary and mandatory.
Accredia is a recognized association that operates non-profit, under the supervision of the Ministry of Economic Development, the authority responsible for accreditation at national level.
Its activity is divided into three departments - Certification and Inspection, Test Laboratories, Calibration Workshops - and is expressed in a constant and rigorous surveillance action on the behavior of accredited bodies and laboratories.
