Action for Peace and Development, abbreviated as APD is a nonprofit organization based in Bujumbura, the capital city of Burundi. APD’s mission is to participate to the consolidation of peace and sustainable development. The main achievements of organization are the work to reduce the number of Children and Youth in the street situation and educate them to reduce crime and drug consumption. The NGO organized debates with university students to reinforce Democracy and call for political tolerance and addresses through radio shows governance, corruption, human rights, gender and protection of environment issues. APD advocate for improvement of the population lives and pacific cohabitation within grassroots communities.
