The Association of Organisations of Mediterranean Businesswomen (AFAEMME) is a federation of businesswomen associations which was launched in 2002 in Barcelona (Spain). AFAEMME currently comprises 41 member organisations from 22 Mediterranean countries. AFAEMME is a coordinator of European and Mediterranean business and gender equality projects and ground-breaking research, a networking platform for businesswomen and women entrepreneurs from all over the Mediterranean and a Euro-Mediterranean lobby for strengthening gender equality and facilitating the access of women to decision-making positions in the economy.

Mission
Young Women as Job Creators Project
The project Young Women as Job Creators, promoted by the Association of Organizations of Mediterranean Businesswomen (AFAEMME) and endorsed by the 43 Member States of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM), will be implemented between May and November 2013 in Morocco, Palestine, Jordan and Spain. The project intends to inform, motivate and train about 10.000 young female university students in the four participating countries to become future successful businesswomen and employers.
The project has been officially launched on the 30th of April 2013, during a conference held at the Palace of Pedralbes, in Barcelona.
