Afghan Sahar Construction & Supplies, Co. (ASCS) is a privately owned company based out of Kabul, Afghanistan. ASCS was founded in 1999 and has delivered construction, supplies, and logistics solutions to clients within the commercial and government sectors in all provinces of Afghanistan for over 12 years.
ASCS comprises a professional team of architects, civil engineers, draftmen, electrical engineers, surveyors, and road designers who are experts in using modern architectural and engineering tools and computer software. ASCS also employs plumbers, electricians, masons, welding professionals, and more. We have all of the resources and technical expertise to provide quality controlled services, consultancy, and implementation of construction projects in Afghanistan in accordance with modern engineering norms and standards.
ASCS consists entirely of Afghan nationals and local professionals. Our unique cultural sensitivities allow us to act as a medium between the local Afghan community and the international entities participating in the development and rebuilding of Afghanistan.
We are committed to employing local sub-contractors and to working with local retailers and small businesses, as we believe this contributes greatly to the enhancement and development of the nation's economic security and stability. We also encourage our team members to hire local unskilled workers for each project. These unskilled workers are educated and supervised by our experienced staff. This transfer of knowledge and hands-on experience allows Afghans to acquire new skills and new career opportunities.
Services
>> Construction
We have the resources, the means and the manpower to undertake design and construction projects of any type and magnitude. We strive to complete our projects ahead of schedule, and we follow a strict safety and security procedure. Additionally, each project is launched according to a collectively devised and approved quality control plan that is in accordance in particular with the ER-1180-1-6 guidelines issued by the US Army Corps of Engineers. The quality control plan meets the project-specific quality control requirements. A quality control manager is present at the construction site at all times to insure that the quality control plan is meticulously being adhered to and to address any incident where the work is defective and/or the work has deviated from the course planned by the quality control management. The quality control plan also examines the quality and certificates of all materials utilized in the construction projects and insures that all items meet the requirements of the quality control management. A systematic and consistent submittal of the quality control reports and checklists to our clients' responsible authority is performed by the quality control manager.
