Africa Digital Financial Inclusion Facility (ADFI)
About

The African Development Bank (AfDB) backed by its partners, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the Agence Française de Développement, the Ministry of Finance of the Government of Luxembourg and the Ministry of the Economy and Finance of the Government of France, established the Africa Digital Financial Inclusion Facility (ADFI) to accelerate digital financial inclusion across Africa.

They intervene along four broad strategic pillars aimed at scaling innovative digital financial services and increasing integration throughout the continent. Gender inclusion cuts across all of the interventions that we support - we are committed to reducing Africa's existing gender gap in digital financial services.

Mission

ADFI works to address the systemic barriers to the growth and uptake of digital financial services by making strategic and catalytic investments in the ecosystem throughout Africa.

Vision

To achieve universal access to digital financial services as a driver of inclusive growth across Africa.
