Age International exists to change the world for older people; by helping those living in poverty in developing countries to have a better quality of life.

Age International does this by:

• Raising awareness of ageing and development in the UK
• Raising funds for the development and emergency relief work of HelpAge International
• Carrying out policy and influencing work in the UK to change policies for older people in low and middle-income countries

At Age International, it challenges the stereotype that labels older people as a burden. But it also recognises that later life can be a time of increased vulnerability. That's why its work supports some of the most vulnerable older people in the world; it helps older people in over 30 of the world’s poorest countries with age-friendly emergency relief and long-term development.

Age International currently has projects running in 33 countries across Africa, East Asia and Pacific, Eastern Europe and Central Asia, South Asia, and Latin America and The Caribbean.
