Created by decree No. 2022-324 of June 1, 2022, the Information and Digital Systems Agency is a public establishment of a social and scientific nature. It has legal personality and financial autonomy.

Placed under the dual supervision of the Ministry of the Economy and Finance and the Ministry of Digital and Digitalization, the Information and Digital Systems Agency (ASIN) was born from the merger of four (04) agencies execution which made up the institutional framework for the operationalization of digital sector projects since 2016, namely:

  • Agency for Digital Development (ADN) 
  • Information Services and Systems Agency (ASSI) 
  • National Agency for Information Systems Security (ANSSI) 
  • Beninese Agency for the Universal Service of Electronic Communications and Post (ABSU-CEP).

ASIN is the government agency responsible for ensuring the operational implementation of programs and projects falling within the framework of development strategies for secure information services and systems in Benin. Through the creation of a single agency for the digital sector in Benin, the Government's vision is to generate more synergy, readability and coherence in the sector.
