The Agricultural Development Agency "ADA" is a public institution with legal personality and financial authority. It is under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development and Waters and Forests.
The Agency is subject to the financial control of the State applicable to public institutions and other bodies in accordance with the legislation in force.
Since its creation in 2009, the ADA plays a fundamental role, in the realization of the strategic ambitions drawn for the agricultural sector by 2020, in the framework of the " Green Morocco Plan ".
The impetus of the PMV initiatives, the promotion and renewal of the Morocco offer, the launching of concrete projects, intermediation, monitoring and monitoring of the implementation and management of partnerships with institutional and social investors, constitute the heart of the missions entrusted to the ADA.
The ADA is also in charge of proposing to government authorities action plans for supporting solidarity-based agriculture through the promotion and implementation of economically viable projects to improve farmers' incomes.
As part of the implementation of the development strategy for the marketing of local products, it is launching the various projects and programs with the objective of developing the value chain of Moroccan terroir products in the national market. and international.
In addition, the ADA, as the National Implementation Entity of the Adaptation Fund and Accredited Entity of the Green Climate Fund in Morocco, allows it direct access to the financial resources of these two funds for the implementation of climate resilient projects and programs for the agricultural and other strategic sectors in Morocco.
The Agency for Agricultural Development (ADA) has the mission to participate in the implementation of the strategy adopted by the Government in agricultural development. In particular, it is responsible for proposing to government authorities the action plans for supporting high value-added agricultural value chains with a view to improving productivity through:
- Research and mobilization of land for the extension of agricultural perimeters and the development of high value-added crops;
- Encouraging the valorization of agricultural products through the implementation of new irrigation systems, farm equipment, packaging and marketing;
- The promotion of agricultural investments and the implementation of partnerships with investors.
