AGENCE POUR LA PROMOTION DE L'EMPLOI DES JEUNES

In Mali, the problem of youth employment is characterized by (i) the mismatch between the training received and the needs of the labor market, (ii) the low level of qualification, (iii) the exacerbated rural underemployment, (iv) the difficulties of young people's access to finance, (v) and the low absorption capacity of the civil service and the private sector.

Faced with these constraints, the Malian government has put in place a set of condensed measures in the Youth Employment Program (YEP) as a response to the thorny issue of youth unemployment.

To implement the EYP, the Agency for the Promotion of Youth Employment was created by the law N ° 03-031 / AN-RM of August 25th, 2003 modified by the law N ° 2014-068 / AN- RM of December 31, 2014.

EPA, a public administrative institution with legal personality and financial autonomy, aims to contribute to the creation of jobs for young people aged 15 to 40 in rural and urban areas, notably by facilitating their access to the labor market and credit.
