On April 08, 2015, the Government of the Ivory Coast created the National Agency for the Integration and Employment of Young People, known as "EMPLOYMENT AGENCY YOUTH", by ordinance no. 2015-228 of April 08, 2015.
The creation of this new Agency responds to the need to accelerate government initiatives in favor of youth employment.
A one-stop shop for youth employment in Côte d'Ivoire, the Youth Employment Agency will develop targeted approaches to different types of publics based on a diversified range of services, greater synergy, A strong interactivity between the various programs and initiatives aimed at young people.
This Agency, which is the result of the transformation of the existing arrangements (Agency for the Study and Promotion of Employment, National Youth Fund, Sectoral Funds linked to integration), constitutes a genuine One-stop-shop embracing all employment initiatives In favor of young people.
Their main missions of the Agency
Ensure the reception, information and guidance of young jobseekers;
Encouraging the professional integration of young unemployed graduates;
Support for potential job-creating initiatives for young people;
Implementing special programs for the reintegration of young people into employment and employment;
Promoting access to credit for young project holders;
Promote dialogue with partners for the benefit of the target populations.
Young Men and Women, of working age throughout the national territory:
Graduates looking for first job;
Promoters of projects;
Entrepreneurs already in business;
People at risk and vulnerable.
The main methods of intervention
A service offering adapted to the profile of young jobseekers ranging from illiterate young people to young graduates:
Direct Investment in Enterprises and the Hiring Assistance Program;
Requalification and short and practical training;
Entrepreneurship and financing of economic initiatives and financing of micro-enterprises, Income generating activities (AGR);
Work at High Intensity of Labor (THIMO);
Any other modalities that contribute to improving the employability of young people.See more
