AgriCorps
About

AgriCorps creates an enabling environment and builds capacity for school-based agricultural education systems in developing countries in order to reduce generational cycles of hunger and poverty. These systems transform local communities by diffusing agricultural innovations to farmers through in-school youth, as early adopters.

Their mission is to use the power of research, advocacy and partnerships to expand school-based agricultural education (SBAE) programs across sub-Saharan Africa that are proven to keep youth in schools, increase food security, and transform communities.

To do this, the Movement has four core objectives:

1. Build Evidence

We collaborate with researchers to generate robust evidence, enhancing SBAE programs and research investments.

2. Transform Policy

We mobilize local and global partners to integrate SBAE into development priorities and national policy.

3. Catalyze Funds

We engage multilateral institutions, national governments, and the donor community to increase their funding support for SBAE programs.

4. Strengthen Capacity

We develop agricultural curricula, increase training for teachers and implementers, and expand SBAE programs at national and local.
