Ajinomoto Co., Inc. was founded in 1909 and engages in the manufacture and sale of diversified products. The company operates through five main segments, including Domestic Food Products, Overseas Food Products, Amino Acids, Pharmaceuticals, and Others.

The Ajinomoto Group has established a presence in 22 countries and regions throughout the world in order to expand its business operations in food products, amino acids, pharmaceuticals, and other fields. At present its products are sold in over 130 countries.

Beginning with AJI-NO-MOTO®, a highly versatile seasoning made with monosodium glutamate, our products have diversified to flavor seasonings, made by enhancing the flavors of bonito, pork, chicken, beef, and other foods, to menu-specific seasonings and to soups, instant noodles, and frozen foods. Based on the five basic tastes centering on umami, we utilize ingredients with unique kokumi (full-bodied taste), aroma, and texture to continually develop products that meet the needs of customers.
