MISSION STATEMENT
ALEF seeks to strengthen the respect and fulfillment of human rights as a cornerstone of social, economic, and political development. By embracing a comprehensive approach to monitor, defend, and educate on human rights, ALEF aims to complement and gear all efforts towards the achievement of an influential human rights constituency, and the realization of a durable peace.

INSTITUTIONAL VALUES
- Independence: ALEF is an independent, non-governmental, non-partisan, non-religious, and non-profit organization, which does not support or oppose any government or political regime.
- Respect of human dignity and value: ALEF commits to the full respect of the dignity and identity of individuals, their culture, faith and values
- Non – discrimination: ALEF does not discriminate between people based on race, gender, age, religion and nationality or any other difference
- Impartiality: ALEF is committed to defend all victims of human rights violations and human rights defenders regardless of their political, religious or other affiliations or views.
