Antique Electric Cooperative, Inc. also known as ANTECO is one of the one hundred and nineteen (119) electric cooperatives in the Philippines and covering sixteen (16) out of eighteen (18) municipalities of the province of Antique.
ANTIQUE ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE, INC., otherwise known as ANTECO, was established on December 10, 1972 based on the provision of Presidential Decree No. 269 as amended. ANTECO, a non-stock and non-profit electric cooperative, started without a single centavo where the National Electrification Administration (NEA) extended the initial capital. ANTECO started its operation through rural electrification on March 17, 1977.
ANTECO, which is owned by the consumers it served has been lighting up Antiqueños homes for more than 30 years. ANTECO, at present, is one of the one hundred and nineteen (119) Electric Cooperatives in the Philippines providing power in the rural areas of the country through a franchise coverage area.
