About

Apprentis d'Auteuil is a Catholic foundation certified by the French State as promoting the public interest. It has been committed to helping young people in distress for almost 150 years in France and more than 20 years worldwide.

Their mission is threefold

  • Providing access to quality education and training
  • Helping young people to become free and responsible adults
  • Working directly with families to help them play a central role in the education of their children

They are actively committed to children, youth and families in difficulty, Apprentis d’Auteuil’s goal along with their partners, is to be heard on a regional, national and international level to change the way people think and influence public policies.

Their advocacy always aims to promote the implementation and the respect of children’s rights as well as those of their parents. In France, their advocacy is based on convictions, described in the publication "Plaidoyer pour la jeunesse en difficulté" Advocacy for youth in difficulty which was published in 2012 at the occasion of the legislative and presidential elections in France:

  • Reaffirm the educational role of parents
  • Take action with regard to school withdrawal
  • Reinvent the gateway to an active life

They also speak on behalf of child protection. Internationally, they rely more generally on all our beliefs, shared with our partners, to defend along with them, children and family rights according to the country’s needs and problems.
