The Arab Center for the Development of the Rule of Law and Integrity (ACRLI) is a regional, non-profit, non‐governmental organization founded in 2003 by a group of judges, specialists, lawyers and academics from various Arab countries. ACRLI has been functioning for almost a decade in the MENA region towards enhancing the Rule of Law and promoting Good Governance among the Arab states.
ACRLI’s scope of work span the region of the Middle East and North Africa and is focused on judicial and legal reform, criminal justice, fighting corruption, transparency and accountability, civil society participation, environment, corporate governance and human security. The Center was established to participate with other similar organizations based on the respect of civil and human rights and sound democratic practices, some of which are: the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Programme on Governance in the Arab Region (POGAR), the International Foundation for Election Systems (IFES) , Research and Study Firm in Informatics and Law (MADAMEK), Ford foundation, Friedrich Naumann Foundation (FNF), Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI), United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and various NGOs in the Arab world.
ACRLI’s highly qualified team is specialized in research and project management, cross‐cultural studies and analysis, information technology and build databases as well as ensuring the delivery of good quality services.
ACRLI’s overall mission is to provide support and initiate Reform efforts aimed at strengthening the Rule of Law and Integrity in the Arab Region, building the Foundations of Good Governance, performing trainings that serve the Rule of Law, Justice, social and economic development and finally yet importantly providing opportunities for the exchange of expertise and experience. ACRLI focuses on building knowledge and capacity for a variety of stakeholders, including the Judiciary, Parliaments, Civil Society Organizations, and the Media with a view to promoting International Norms and Standards of Democratic Governance and providing for a continuous and productive Policy Dialogue in Reform and Development in the Region.

Within the scope of achieving its objectives in promoting the Rule of Law and settling the fundamentals of Justice in the Arab community, The Arab Center for the Rule of Law and Integrity (ACRLI) works on extending its activities to the widest audience possible. Accordingly, ACRLI has operating representation offices across the region.
ACRLI embraces a wide group of various professional and experienced experts, lawyers, judges, and researchers from the region and from the international community as well. ACRLI has a wide network of partner organizations from around the globe that complement its work and objectives and work towards similar goals.
