The senior Asper team worked together for more than 10 years, previously as part of the London-based investment firm Hg. In 2016 Asper and Hg announced a staged spin-off of Hg’s renewable infrastructure business, which took place in 2017. At that point Asper took on the management of Hg’s renewable funds and became an independent firm, entirely owned by its management team. Today Asper manages funds and investments for total commitments of over €1.2bn.
