Assisting Cambodian Orphans and the Disabled Organization (short for ACODO) is a non-profit organization, registered charity with The Royal Cambodian Government (charity number 893), MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) with The Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation on the 23rd of October 2012.
ACODO provides shelter, nutritious food, health care and high-quality education to orphans, the disabled, the victimized and most vulnerable children in Cambodia through orphanage and community-based care.
Without government support and corporate sponsorship, they rely entirely on generous donations from compassionate individuals to continue providing our services at no charge.
ACODO cooperates with the local community-based schools to develop human resources, especially the underprivileged students, bamboo shoots that will replace old bamboo, so that they can flourish into their adulthood, pillars and heirs of the country to develop in all sectors and to lead the Cambodian society to prosperous progress in the future. ACODO is going to offer free English supplementary courses to the primary school students from grade 1 to grade 6 from the 28th of November 2016. We are enrolling them for the course from today. This course will help the students to:
Develop language skills that will give children a solid foundation in English for their secondary education.
Develop a basic understanding of and ability to use English in meaningful, age-appropriate contexts.
Foster a positive attitude toward learning English.
Present the names and sounds of all the English letters so that children become familiar with the English alphabet.
