Associação de Defesa Etnoambiental Kanindé (Kaninde)
The Association of Ethno-Environmental Protection Kanindé is a Civil Society Organization with the Public Interest - OSCIP, nonprofit, founded in November 15, 1992 by the group of people working with the indigenous people Uru-eu-wau-wau and protection of the environment, in Rondônia.
Among the main activities developed since its creation, stand out for surveillance and monitoring of the Urueu-wau-wau Indigenous Land and the Pacaás New National Park, assistance to indigenous organizations, environmental impact reports, participatory ethnoenvironmental diagnosis on indigenous lands, rapid ecological assessments , ethno zoning, management plan of indigenous lands, environmental education, development of carbon projects, project development and monitoring of public policies.
Its staff and associates are trained professionals from various fields: biology, agronomy, forestry, history, geography, cartography, anthropology, healthcare, information technology, journalism, marketing, photography, indigenization, trackers, guides, volunteers and students who collaborate with the work .
