About

The Association of Islamic Banking and Financial Institutions Malaysia (AIBIM) was established in 1995 as the Association of Interest-Free Banking Institutions Malaysia.

Currently, AIBIM has 26 member banks comprising 11 domestic banks, 5 development financial institutions. And what they do :

  1. Promote sound Islamic banking system and practise in Malaysia.
  2. Represent interest of members locally and abroad.
  3. Provide advice and assistance to members pertinent to the development of Islamic banking and finance at a local, regional and global level.
  4. Coordinate human capital development initiatives for members.
  5. Promote public awareness.
