AKMT was registered in 2017 with a membership of approximately 71 mango traders who operate from urban markets like Wakulima, City Park, Ngara, Kangemi, Kawangware,Githurai, Kongowea among others. The Association has gained traction with the number of traders going up to 46 members.

The target of the association is to take care of interests of these traders- getting new markets, accessing finance, better opportunities,setting industry norms & rules and addressing challenges.
