Ai.Bi. Friends of Children Association is a non-governmental organization formed by a movement of adoptive and foster families. Since 1986 Ai.Bi. They work every day alongside children in institutions around the world to combat the abandonment emergency. Their association operates in Italy with a national office and 25 in regional offices and information centers in all regions. Ai.Bi. the world is present in 33 countries, with operations in Eastern Europe , the Americas , Africa and Asia .
Alongside Amici dei Bambini operate other bodies, the Association of the Faithful The Rejected Stone, the Ai.Bi. Foundation and Cooperative AIBC , pursuing with a different mandate, according to the same principles and values, the mission to promote and implement the right to be a child.
Friends of Children actively adheres to the Working Group for the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC Group ) , a network of 89 entities of the Third Sector that has long been actively involved in the promotion and protection of child rights and adolescence.
The CRC group monitors compliance with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Italian State.
Mission
Their mission is groped to give every abandoned child a family, to ensure herright to be a child.

History
Ai.Bi. Friends of Children Association was founded in October 1983 , by the initiative of two adoptive parents, Marco Griffini and Irene Bertuzzi and the support of two spiritual fathers: Don Carlo Grammar and Father Mario Colombo , a missionary of the Pontifical Institute for Foreign Missions (PIME) in Brazil.
They are the first seeds of the families Movement that, in January 1986, will create the Children's Friends , and that, even today, is the soul of the organization button.
